Kaddish, minyan and prayer at the grave
Arranging Kaddish on yahrzeit, a minyan, prayer recitation, and candle lighting with photo report.
When relatives cannot read the Kaddish in person on the day of remembrance, Zikaron helps arrange a minyan and prayer recitation at the grave. The contractor gathers a minyan (coordinating with the local community or chevra kadisha when needed), reads the prayers in accordance with tradition, and sends a video or photo report. A separate service — lighting a candle/lamp on yahrzeit with the name of the departed. This is a simple but important part of tradition that can be observed even in years when a personal visit is impossible. All contractors in this category undergo additional vetting: familiarity with tradition, ties to the local community, experience supporting relatives.
